p.s. Can anyone tel me why Cambrian had so many players missing? Jarod Howells, Dane Williams, Scott Seldon, Sean Fackeral, James Mahoney & Huw Bowtell?

Well done to Ton Pentre for their win up at Cam on Friday night and as they say in football it was a game of two halves and it was pentre who proved the more clinical in front of goal in the 2nd that won them the game. It must be said for anyone who watched the game that the conditions were awful and this suited Pentre down to the ground as it was evident that they wanted to get into the Cam players faces and make it difficult for them to play which was helped even more by the pitch condition. I would like to mention something which Cambrian can take a huge amount of credit for from the game. I was leaving the ground after kick off as the pentre players walked into their changing rooms, it was as if they had won a cup final yes it was a derby but they were like animals they were screaming, shouting kicking things how times have changed. It wasn’t long ago Cambrian would have been that way after beating a pentre side and that said it all to me how times have changed.

Hi Chris, agree with everything youve said and i think its fair to say Ton Pentre probably deserved it. But the boys will bounce back im sure of it. Sometimes it takes a defeat like this one to kick start your season so lets hope we can put a decent run together at the buisness end of the season. With regards to players missing, i know Jarred is still injured, while Dane had the flu, huw bowtell and scott seldon were both suspended and shaun had a family bereavement. Big players to miss! Hopefully all should return for our tough trip to lido on Saturday.

christian you say that, like cambrian are the better side. two games this season between the two sides and ton have come away with 4 points out of 6. make of that what you like. you can go on about how good cam are but without character and determination your not going to get anywhere in football. and over the two games ton have showed more of it!
it was a game between 4th and 6th, 4th coming out on top. ton 'acting like they have won the cup' just shows how much they wanted it more, and to be honest it was more a case of rubbing salt into the wounds than celebrating cup glory! enjoy the rest of your season.

Mr Innocent observer, not so innocent are you haha Surely its about one season, not one game. Ton have done really well to get four points off us this season and deservedly...just like we deserved our four points off you last season. Bragging rights are rightly yours...for now at least...

Working on the Taffs Well highlights at the moment, after that I will do the Ton video so will comment on the match after that. Quite often looks a different game afterward.
One thing I will say for the Welsh league is that you can hardly ever predict any result, Cam beat Aberaman Athletic 6 - 2 early in the season, were beating Caldicot Town 3 - 0 with less than 10 minutes to go and drew 3 - 3 later on.
Saying that the boys didn't celebrate as much when they beat Ton away, if you watch the video of that its apparent they enjoyed the goals going in!

I think anyone watchng the two games would agree that cambrian are without doubt the better side. However ton wanted it more, showed more bottle, out battled cam and got the result the hard work deserved. Saying that Cambrian finished above ton last season and are looking good to do so again this season! Ton are a club with fantastic history but have alway failed to invest in the club and put any foundations in place. Cam are a better run more stable club who are head and shoulders above ton in all aspects. What club will continue to develop and progress? you decide?
